Having lost all confidence on another horse, I did a part exchange with a dealer and got my little mare out of his bargin bucket. She turned out to be a little gem, if not a little chestnut at times! So with lots of lessons, schooling and all round confidence building for both of us, I decided to sign up. Then through the subsequent year and a lot of very patient instructors, friends and family slowly made progress towards my end goal. I got a lovely girl to take my little horse eventing first, so,when the time came, at least one of us knew what we were supposed to do. It worked a treat we might have been a touch slow and Scarlett (my horse) didn't want to play dressage ponies on that day she totally looked after me and took me round the show jumping and xc. I'm not sure if I will do it again, it's a bit expensive, but it has given me the confidence to try other competitions and not be so worried about it.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
