Ivesley ODE (Unaffiliated)

Well at the ripe old age of 20 & 46 respectfully Jake & I entered our 1st ever ODE. Ivesley was a fab venue with lots of familiar faces & a lovely friendly atmosphere. I decided a little while ago that this was going to be my Wobbleberry fundraising challenge competition & I would continue my personal challenge to progress to BE with Spud my baby horse in my own time. Jake at the tender age of 20 was unshod, a little pottery with hunting stiffness & never going achieved BE xc time so this seemed the perfect option for us as Ivesley Equestrian had kindly developed Wobbleberry sections, discount and an untimed xc.I was very nervous but managed to complete without a huge disgrace. We stayed in the arena for dressage (this was my 3rd ever dressage competition/test), I (not Jake) got 8 stupid faults in the SJ & I (again not Jake) had 1 stop xc. It was by no means my finest performance but I'm really chuffed I have now completed a ODE & at the height I set myself of 80cm.Well done to everyone who was there, I think we all had a good day.I'm going back to Ivesley this month to start my journey over again with my baby horse.I've raised £577.88 for the wonderful charity, thank you to every one who sponsored me.xx
